Nixie draws her stories from real-life adventures, and pulls inspiration from goth clubs across the country, spanning over decades. She weaves tales, characters, and steamy situations into her rich, decadent series. Her settings feel alive, like shrines to another place and time.
When she’s not writing, Nixie can be found lost in a DnD campaign or the wilds of Skyrim, supporting her local library, attending clubs and concerts, designing permaculture gardens, or crafting playlists.
There’s a running joke that her books are an incantation that turns readers into goths for at least a week. Nixie, of course, takes this as the highest compliment. “I just want people to be immersed,” she says, “whether that’s through invoking passion, nostalgia, or the overwhelming urge to wear fishnets for no reason at all.”
